These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pastors.ai website, applications, sermon-processing tools, chatbots, and integrations, including the Pastors.ai integration available through ChatGPT (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Pastors AI, INC, a Delaware corporation ("Pastors AI," "we," "us," or "our").
By accepting these Terms or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a church, company, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Pastors AI helps users turn authorized sermon content into resources such as clips, transcripts, summaries, devotionals, study guides, translations, and chatbot responses. Features available to you depend on your plan and the interface you use. Processing times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription. You must provide accurate account information, keep sign-in credentials secure, and notify us at help@pastors.ai if you become aware of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, including activity by members of your organization and connected integrations.
3. Your content and permissions
"Your Content" includes sermons, recordings, manuscripts, transcripts, images, logos, links, and other material you submit or authorize us to access. You retain your ownership rights in Your Content.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary for us to access, process, edit, translate, reproduce, and distribute Your Content as you request. These permissions may include rights belonging to speakers, churches, music owners, photographers, and people appearing in recordings. A publicly accessible video does not by itself grant permission to copy or repurpose it.
You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, process, adapt, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to provide the Service, carry out your instructions, and maintain its security. This license allows service providers working on our behalf to perform those activities as needed. It does not transfer ownership of Your Content to us or authorize unrelated advertising uses.
If you direct us to create a shareable page, enable a public chatbot, share a link, or publish content, the resulting material may become accessible to others. Confirm that the material is suitable for that audience before sharing it. Do not submit confidential counseling records or other sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so and have confirmed that the Service is suitable for your intended use.
4. Generated resources
As between you and Pastors AI, and to the extent permitted by law, you own the rights we may hold in resources generated specifically for you from Your Content. We assign any such rights to you. This does not transfer rights in our software, service design, trademarks, third-party material, or another user's content.
AI output may not qualify for copyright protection, and similar output may be generated for other users. You remain responsible for obtaining any licenses needed for music, Bible translations, images, or other third-party material included in a resource.
AI-generated material may contain factual, theological, transcription, translation, attribution, or timestamp errors. Review and edit resources before relying on or publishing them, including checking that clips accurately represent the speaker's meaning. Chatbot responses and other output assist ministry work and do not replace pastoral judgment or qualified professional advice.
5. ChatGPT and other integrations
When you connect Pastors AI to ChatGPT or another third-party platform, information needed to fulfill your requests may pass between that platform and Pastors AI. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. The third-party platform's handling of information is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
Connecting an integration authorizes us to perform the actions you request within the permissions you grant. It does not give unlimited authorization to purchase a subscription, publish content, or take unrelated actions. Review requests and confirmations before authorizing actions that change your account or share content.
Disconnecting an integration does not automatically cancel a paid Pastors AI subscription or delete your Pastors AI account. Manage billing and account deletion separately.
Use of YouTube integrations is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms and permissions. Third-party services may change, restrict access, or become unavailable, affecting integration features.
6. Plans and usage limits
Current plan features, prices, billing intervals, and usage limits are shown on our website and at checkout. Free and paid plans may limit sermons, clips, users, or other features. Do not circumvent limits by creating duplicate accounts or interfering with usage controls. We will disclose applicable charges before you subscribe or purchase additional services.
7. Subscription billing and automatic renewal
Payments are processed through Stripe. By purchasing a subscription and consenting to automatic renewal at checkout, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method for the price and billing interval disclosed at purchase, plus applicable taxes.
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each monthly or annual billing period unless you cancel before renewal. An annual plan is charged annually, and a monthly plan is charged monthly. We will provide renewal, price-change, and other subscription notices where required by law. Price changes apply to a future billing period after the required notice.
You are responsible for keeping payment information current. If payment fails, we may notify you and restrict or suspend paid features until payment is resolved, subject to applicable law.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your paid access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. To cancel, sign in and go to Dashboard → Settings → Plans & Billing at https://pastors.ai/dashboard-settings/#tab=billing and use the subscription cancellation option. If you cannot access that option, contact help@pastors.ai for assistance.
Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We do not provide refunds or credits for partially used billing periods, unused usage allowances, or cancellation before the end of a monthly or annual subscription term.
Nothing in these Terms limits refund, cancellation, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; impersonate another person deceptively; generate unlawful threats or abuse; distribute malware; compromise security; access another user's account without permission; or violate applicable law. You may not use generated clips, translations, or other resources to falsely attribute statements to a speaker or materially misrepresent their meaning.
You may not sell access to our Service, copy our software, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits. These restrictions do not prevent you from using and sharing your authorized generated resources.
10. Privacy and service communications
Our Privacy Policy at https://pastors.ai/privacy-policy explains our collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal information. We may send communications needed to provide the Service, including processing results, account notices, security messages, and billing information. Marketing preferences are managed as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Our intellectual property
Pastors AI and its licensors retain rights in the Service, software, designs, and branding. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, nonexclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose during your authorized access. No ownership of our technology is transferred to you.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. Cancel subscriptions separately as described above. Download resources you wish to keep before requesting deletion. Data retention and deletion are governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, nonpayment, security threats, or legal requirements. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may act immediately when needed to prevent harm or comply with law.
13. Service changes and warranties
We may update the Service and change features. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting a paid subscription where practical, and any notice required by law.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service and generated resources are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free output, or particular ministry or business results. Mandatory statutory warranties and consumer protections remain in effect.
14. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from these Terms or the Service. Pastors AI's total liability arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. They do not restrict your nonwaivable consumer rights.
15. Disputes and governing law
Informal resolution. If you have a dispute concerning these Terms or the Service, please contact help@pastors.ai with a description of the issue and your requested resolution. We will attempt to resolve it informally. This process is voluntary and does not delay filing deadlines, restrict either party's right to bring a claim, or prevent urgent relief.
Governing law. These Terms and disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the laws of your place of residence.
Courts and venue. Subject to the exceptions below, either party must bring a lawsuit arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service in a state court located in New Castle County, Delaware, or, where federal subject-matter jurisdiction exists, in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts for such disputes.
Small claims and consumer rights. Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in a small claims court that otherwise has jurisdiction. If you are a consumer and applicable law gives you a right to bring a claim in your local courts, or requires us to bring a claim against you there, that right or requirement takes precedence over the venue provision above. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to contact a regulator or exercise rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
No mandatory arbitration. These Terms do not require arbitration, waive the right to a jury trial, or waive the right to participate in a class action. Any agreement to arbitrate a particular dispute must be made separately by both parties after that dispute arises.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. We will post the revised Terms with an updated effective date and provide notice of material changes by email or within the Service before they take effect, as required by law. Changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law or expressly agreed. If you do not accept revised Terms, stop using the Service and cancel renewal before the effective date. Any further acceptance required by law will be obtained separately.
17. General terms and contact
These Terms and any applicable written service agreement govern your use of the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive it. Any assignment of these Terms remains subject to applicable law and may not reduce your nonwaivable rights.
